  • Created by First Nation kids for First Nation kids (ages 5-18)! (UPDATE: We now have an adult version of this program called "Warriors of Turtle Island" - email us at youngwarriorsofturtleisland@gmail.com for more information and to sign up)
  • Individuals are our target for sign up but we encourage First Nation recreation programs, after school clubs, schools and FN Children's Aid Societies to enroll their children! 
  • "Follow" us on our Facebook group "Young Warriors of Turtle Island" where we share some news and some pictures (actual activities are in members only groups)
  • Registration per child is required.

Once you are registered, we will send you a password then you come back here and sign in to your group under the "Members Only" tab on the menu above.

HEROES & ROLE MODELS

17-18 year olds

You are already a hero & role model for many. Come join us to learn some skills that will serve you well in your future.

Your group is blue.

HUNTERS

Ages 14, 15, 16

You will soon be an adult. It is your job to hunt for the skills that will make your dreams and future come true. Your group is white

TRAPPERS

Ages 11, 12, 13

You are no longer a child but it is your job to trap all the good from your childhood to take it with you into your future.

Your group is black.

FISHERMEN

Ages 8, 9 and 10

Like a fisherman casts his hook into the water, it is your job to cast your knowledge hook into the world and reel back all the information you can.

Your group is red.

GATHERERS

Ages 5, 6 and 7.

You are a GATHERER of knowledge and information.

Your job is to learn one new thing today, everyday!

Your group is yellow.

 

CALLING ALL FIRST NATION CHILDREN!

 

This program is all about you!

You will learn all about yourself and your First Nation.

You will learn about other First Nations across the country and see that each one is special and unique.

 

You will see that even though we are all so different, we are still all the same!

  • You will earn rewards and work experience along the way. 

  • Work at your own pace.

  • You choose activities of interest to you and specific to your First Nation!

  • Gain skills and knowledge.

  • Build your future now. 

  • Make friendships now that will last a lifetime.

 

Upon joining your Young Warrior family, you will have access to other Young Warriors across the country in your 'classroom' as well as in our Young Warriors Facebook group where you can chat with one another and share your arts, talents and ideas.

You will be expected to serve others in your community during your time with us.

Serve others and help yourself.
