Our Meeting Place
The image is a shabotawahn. Meetings are held here, decisions made, people reunited, learning/teaching done, and food cooked and shared. (We will hold ours virtually by zoom).
My Story
I have homeschooled my family for many years. I found a great lack of materials relevant to us and our lives though there are plenty of generic (and often stereotypical) materials out there in the world. The materials I have created and am currently creating, based on this experience, are intended to help teachers who want materials that reflect First Nations people in the current time versus people only of the past (though tradition and "artifacts" are a part of some materials), homeschoolers, and adults who want a simple way to learn but have no one to ask.
My materials are available at the links below. Any purchase ($5-10) gives you the download and access to my monthly zoom meetings where we can chat about questions you have about the materials or anything else "First Nation" that you are curious about.
I hope to see you there. I am slowly adding materials... we truly schooled by oral tradition most days, so written materials are only slowly coming into existence.
